Barcelona vice-president Javier Faus has revealed that the Spanish outfit will make "some big investments" in this summer's transfer window.
The Spanish champions will lose the services of Carles Puyol and Victor Valdes at the end of the season, making a new centre-back and goalkeeper a priority.
However, it is believed that the Catalan outfit could also spend big in midfield and forward areas at the end of the current season.
"We will be making some big investments in the transfer market this summer," Faus told El Mundo Deportivo.
"We are ready just like we will be ready in the future. The club's main priority will always be to maintain sporting excellence. Our financial situation will not be an obstacle."
Barcelona currently sit third in La Liga.
