Barcelona have reportedly stepped up their approach for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz by sending scouts to watch the 20-year-old in action against Atletico Madrid.
The German has emerged as one of the most exciting youngsters in world football, with Manchester United reportedly interested in launching a bid next summer.
Moreover, it is claimed that Barcelona have been sending scouts to watch Havertz for the past four years.
According to Sport, scouts from the La Liga club were once again in attendance as Havertz produced an impressive performance to help Leverkusen to a 2-1 win over Diego Simeone's side.
Havertz, who scored 17 goals from 34 Bundesliga appearances last term, is said to be valued at around £80m.
Reports have suggested that Paris Saint-Germain are another club keeping a close eye on Havertz, whose contract at the BayArena still has little under three years left to run.
