Barcelona moved onto seven points in Group E with a 2-0 win over BATE Borisov in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Ivan Rakitic, who started the evening on the bench, opened the scoring for the visitors in the 48th minute, before he added a second 25 minutes from time to secure all the points.

BATE, who sit third in the group, only managed one shot on target during a disappointing night's work.

Goal

Sergei Chemic: Made a couple of smart saves throughout the contest, but did not look comfortable from high balls and flapped at a couple of crosses early on. Bit of a mixed bag from the stopper. (6/10)

Defence

Filip Mladenovic: Arguably one of BATE's better performers on the night. Did his best to make an impression in a forward area and was also fairly solid down the other end. (6/10)

Nemanja Milunovic: Was comfortable with everything that came into the BATE box, but the towering centre-back struggled to deal with the likes of Luis Suarez and Neymar running with the ball. (6/10)

Vitali Gaiduchik: Made some excellent blocks in the first period as BATE put on a strong defensive display, but the home side's rear-guard tactic failed in the second half. (6/10)

Denis Polyakov: Picked up his team's first booking of the night for a really poor challenge on Neymar and in truth, struggled to get near the Brazilian for long spells of the contest. (5/10)

Midfield

Maksim Volodko: Was the first BATE player to be replaced just past the hour as head coach Alyaksandr Yermakovich looked for more invention in attack. Struggled to make a serious impression. (6/10)

Nemanja Nikolic: Departed the field just three minutes after Maksim Volodko and like his teammate, the midfielder also saw little of the ball. Could not make his mark against Barcelona's midfield. (6/10)

Mikhail Gordeichuk: Was tasked with linking up with lone forward Nikolai Signevich, but the 25-year-old, who has a very good scoring record for BATE, did not have any clear opportunities. (6/10)

Aleksandr Volodko: Skipper for the night, the midfielder's work-rate cannot be called into question, but he spent the majority of the evening chasing shadows in the middle of the park. (6/10)

Igor Stasevich: At 29, was one of the most experienced members of the BATE XI and the midfielder showed some glimpses of his quality when he was allowed space to perform. (6/10)

Attack

Nikolai Signevich: Hardly had a kick in the first 80 minutes of football, but managed two attempts late on during BATE's best spell of the game. Was eventually taken off in the home side's third change. (6/10)

Substitutes

Aleksandr Karnitski: Was a touch fortunate to remain on the field following a really poor challenge on Neymar in the 82nd minute. Struggled to deal with the pace and movement of the away side. (5/10)

Evgeni Yablonski: Was introduced in the 65th minute, but the 20-year-old entered the match during a period when Barcelona were in complete control. Just did not see enough of the ball. (6/10)

Dmitri Mozolevski: Thrown on in the 79th minute and BATE's best spell of the match occurred when the 30-year-old was on the field. Provided Barcelona with a different threat in attack. (6/10)

BARCELONA

Goal

Marc-Andre ter Stegen: Could have had the night off in Belarus. Was not called into action until the final 10 minutes and that was to make a very routine save. Will not have many easier matches. (6/10)

Defence

Dani Alves: Did not need to perform too much defensive work and instead spent most of the night rampaging down the right. Delivered some dangerous crosses in the final third. (7/10)

Gerard Pique: Another that will not have many easier nights throughout his career. BATE's lack of pace in the final third made it easy for the central defender to play his own game. (7/10)

Marc Bartra: Has been given plenty of football in recent weeks and the Spanish defender is arguably now playing his best football for the club. Put in another solid display at the heart of the defence. (7/10)

Jordi Alba: Was not as involved as Alves down the opposite side, but still looked threatening when he ventured forward. Was part of a defence that were in desperate need of this clean sheet. (7/10)

Midfield

Sergi Roberto: Has been in good form in recent weeks and started the game brightly in Belarus. However, the midfielder was forced off with an injury in the 17th minute of action. (6/10)

Javier Mascherano: Stepped into a midfield position and had time and space to pick passes from a central area. Put his foot in when needed, while his use of the ball was impressive. (7/10)

Sergio Busquets: Captain for the night, the Spaniard was not really tested on a very comfortable evening. Controlled the tempo from a deep position before being rested for the final 20 minutes. (7/10)

Attack

Munir El-Haddadi: Came close to opening the scoring in the first period with a low effort, but he was denied by a smart save. Put in a busy performance, but drifted out of the game in the second half. (6/10)

Luis Suarez: Could not find the back of the net despite a couple of good chances, but the forward linked well with Neymar and was always a threat in the final third. Such an important player for Barcelona. (7/10)

Neymar: Man-of-the-match performance from the Brazilian, who set up both of Barcelona's goals. BATE simply could not live with the attacker's movement and skill in the final third of the field. (8/10)

Substitutes

Ivan Rakitic: Was thrust into action in the 18th minute and proved the match-winner for the Catalan outfit. Scored two different but equally excellent goals to secure all the points for the visitors. (8/10)

Sandro Ramirez: Will have been disappointed not to have started, but was given the final 20 minutes and caused plenty of problems with his pace and skill in the final third of the field. (6/10)

Gerard Gumbau: Was introduced in place of Busquets for the final 20 minutes and the midfielder kept things ticking over, but did pick up a yellow card for a poor challenge on Stasevich. (6/10)
