Nuno pleased with Atletico Madrid point

Valencia boss Nuno praises his side for securing a 1-1 draw away to La Liga champions Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

Valencia boss Nuno has praised his side for securing a point in a 1-1 draw at Atletico Madrid on Sunday evening.

Los Che trailed to a first-half strike from Koke, but responded late on through Shkodran Mustafi to claim a draw at the Calderon and boost their hopes of a top-three finish.

"This was a difficult game against a great team, the champions of La Liga, a team that has been playing together for a long time, at a stadium that really gets behind them. We have to take this as a point well earned," Inside Spanish Football quotes Nuno, whose team finished with 10 men following a late red card for Javi Fuego, as saying.

The point kept Valencia fourth in La Liga, just one point behind third-placed Atletico with 12 games remaining.
