Roberto Soldado has called on Valencia fans to make the difference ahead of their clash with Atletico Madrid.

Valencia striker Roberto Soldado has called on the club's fans for support ahead of the return leg of their Europa League semi-final clash with Atletico Madrid.

Soldado, whose side lost 4-2 at the Vicente Calderon last night, admits that he and his teammates did not work hard enough to get a result. However, the Spaniard insists that the club's supporters can help turn the tie around.

"In a game of this type you must give 100% throughout," he told Mediaset.

"We did not do that. The start of the second half was bad for us. We did not work hard enough. It's a bad result for us.

"Our fans will now be essential for us in terms over overturning this result, just as Aletico's fans were crucial for them tonight."

Meanwhile, Valencia host Real Betis at the Mestalla in La Liga this weekend.
