Tim Sherwood raring to go for Aston Villa

New Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood explains his eagerness to get going at Villa Park ahead of his first match in charge against Stoke City.

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood has revealed his excitement ahead of his first match in charge of his new club.

Sherwood's side host Stoke City on Saturday afternoon, and the former Tottenham Hotspur manager cannot wait to get going at Villa Park.

"I'm excited and it's good to be back at a fantastic football club," Sherwood told Sky Sports News.

"I'm not sure if my team is brave, I've only judged them on training and they've all been good. It's been a difficult team selection today, but I've decided to go with this one."
