Aston Villa caretaker manager Eric Black has suggested that Jores Okore is unlikely to play for the club again after refusing to be named as a substitute for their Premier League fixture with Bournemouth.
Okore last featured in the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on March 13 but ahead of the game with Bournemouth on April 9, he was informed that he would only feature on the bench.
However, in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game with Southampton, Black has said that Okore asked to be removed from the seven replacements and the incident has seen the Danish international banished from the first-team squad.
The 23-year-old has made 38 Premier League appearances since moving to the West Midlands in 2013 but after the club's relegation to the Championship, he is likely to depart Villa Park in the summer.
