Astana came from behind twice in the final 15 minutes of their Group C clash with Galatasaray in the Champions League this evening.

The Kazakhstan champions, who were making their home debut at this stage of the tournament, were behind early on when Bilal Kisa scored his first goal for the visitors.

An own goal from Hakan Balta got the home side back on level terms with just over 10 minutes remaining before Nenad Eric turned the ball into his own net, but Roger Canas equalised in the final minute to secure a point for Astana.

Good afternoon! Kazakhstan champions Astana will be looking for their first win of the Champions League group phase as they host Turkish giants Galatasaray. Let's start with a look at the team news.

ASTANA STARTING XI: Eric, Anicic, Ilic, Postnikov, Shomko, Maksimovic, Zhukov, Kethevoama, Canas, Dzholchiyev, Kabananga

GALATASARAY STARTING XI: Muslera, Balta, Carole, Kaya, Denayer, Kisa, Oztekin, Inan, Sneijder, Bulut, Podolski

ASTANA SUBSTITUTES: Golubnichi, Pikalkin, Beysebekov, Muzhikov, Dedechko, Schetkin, Nuserbayev

GALATASARAY SUBSTITUTES: Gonen, Chedjou, Siroglu, Rodriguez, Adin, Colak, Gumus

Despite losing to Benfica in their opening match of the competition, Astana stick with the same lineup from their first outing, led by the in-form Nemanja Maksimovic, who scored in their league defeat at the weekend.

For the visitors, there's just one change to the side that beat Gaziantespor in the Turkish Super Lig at the weekend, with Jose Rodriguez dropping to the bench in place of Selcuk Inan, who returns to captain the side, while Wesley Sneijder and former Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski lead the attack.

Ahead of this match, Astana coach Stanimir Stoilov told reporters: "We know that it is a really important game for Astana and the whole of Kazakhstan as well. Galatasaray are the favourites but we will have our chances to get something out of the match. First we have to think about discipline on the field and giving our best. If we don't, there could be mistakes, but it will be good experience for us regardless. The absence of Burak Yilmaz is no great advantage for us as Galatasaray still have plenty of other strong attackers."

Meanwhile, Galatasaray boss Hamza Hamzaoglu said at his pre-match press conference: "We came here to win, we want to get three points. And if it happens, I'm sure it will not be easy. If we get a draw, that would be a good result for us. I think we are going in the right direction and we will show that. Six Astana players represent the national team and all of Turkey's games against Kazakhstan have been tight. We need to be flexible if we are going to get the right result."

Here are the visitors going through their warm-ups at the Astana Arena. They're looking for their first away win in the Champions League for more than two years, having lost their last seven away from home:

Astana have been struggling in the league in recent weeks as they've tried to handle the demands of competing in Europe as well as defending their league title. The hosts are looking for their first win in four matches in all competitions, having suffered a 2-1 defeat to Irtysh at the weekend.

Since their loss to Atletico Madrid earlier this month, Galatasaray have secure back to back wins in the Turkish Super Lig, leaving them with three victories from their last five outings in all competitions.

The players are making their way out of the tunnel ready for kickoff. It's packed in the Astana Arena as the Champions League group stage comes to Kazakhstan for the first time.

PREDICTION! With just moments until the match gets underway, there's just time for a prediction. Galatasaray might not have been at their best away from home in recent years, but they'll be optimistic against the minnows of the group. I'm going for a 2-0 away win.

KICKOFF! The visitors get the match underway.

It's worth keeping in mind that this match is being played on an artificial pitch and kickoff is at 10pm local time. The home side look to make the most of the conditions early on, with defender Dmitriy Shomko getting forward early on to put a cross into the box, but there's no-one there to meet it. It's a confident start by the hosts though.

Astana continue to do all the pressing in the early stages of the match as Kethevoama forces a corner, curling the ball back into the box himself. Kisa misses a clearance, but Muslera comes off his line to claim it for the visiting side.

CHANCE! Galatasaray force a free kick down the other end, which Bulut tees up for Denayer, but Eric is there to punch it away. Sneijder quickly gets it back in midfield, and unleashes a rocket from 25 yards out, but the keeper is able to claim it.

Denayer battles to stop Shomko, who is clearly keen to get forward, getting the cross in, but the on loan Manchester City man forces the defender to put it behind for a goal kick.

CHANCE! The visitors are on the attack again, with Lionel Carole going forward down the left flank before pulling it back to Sneijder on the edge of the box, but the winger's finish is dragged wide. Astana have had the better of the possession in the early stages, but Galatasaray certainly look dangerous around the Astana box.

CHANCE! Fernando Muslera has to make his first real save of the night as Shomko gets forward again, seeing his cross blocked, but only as far as Georgi Zhukov, who unleashes a low drive from the edge of the box, but the keeper just about spots it in time to make the diving stop.

Kethevoama is starting to ask questions of the Galatasaray defence as he cuts inside before trying to curl the ball into the bottom corner, but it's blocked by Balta, while a follow up is also cleared before it can trouble Muslera.

It's all starting to get a little heated as Shomko takes exception to a challenge from Podolksi, before the striker is floored by a challenge from Roger Canas a few moments later, with the former Arsenal man having clearly irked the home side.

Kabanaga plays the ball forward in the direction of Kethevoama, but his first touch is lacking, allowing Galatasaray to clear the danger. Aside from a couple of early shots from Sneijder, there really hasn't been much to trouble the visiting defence so far, with Astana continuing to see the majority of the ball.

Umut Bulut tries to create something for the Turkish champions, running at the home side's penalty area before passing to Carole out wide. The defender eventually works it back in for Sneijder, but the Dutch international's finish is weak.

Galatasaray have been starting to see a bit more of the ball over the last few minutes, but Denyaer is flagged offside while looking to get on the end of a long ball forward from Podolski, while Oztekin makes the same mistake a few moments later.

The visitors have a throw in level with the penalty area, which Denayer launches deep to Podolski on the edge of the box. The striker is drawing a chorus of boos from the crowd, who clearly aren't a fan of him following his coming together with Shomko earlier. The defenders manage to crowd him out before he can get a shot away.

GOAL! Astana 0-1 Galatasaray (Bilal Kisa)

Having only just started to find their way into the match, Galatasaray quickly make the most of their dominant spell, with Bilal Kisa scoring his debut goal for the club, and what a strike it is! Sneijder squares the ball to him well outside the box. He takes a couple of touches before unleashes a swerving effort from 30 yards out, and it changes direction mid flight, leaving the keeper with no chance.

Astana are trying to create a quick equaliser, with Kabananga and Shomko linking up on he edge of the box. A high ball in from the latter, catches Muslera out, with the keeper giving away a corner, despite the ball looking like it was going well wide.

Kisa is on the ball again, sliding it out wide to Carole, who quickly plays it back on for Sneijder. Oztekin gets the ball and attempts to slice it past Eric from a tight angle, but it's a comfortable stop for the keeper.

Astana haven't let their heads drop since falling behind, with Kethevoama and Kabananga continuing to put dangerous balls through for the hosts, while Dzholchiyev tries to run it through the middle, but the visitors are doing just enough at the back to keep Muslera quiet in the Galatasaray goal.

BOOKING! Selcuk Inan has picked up a booking, and it's a silly error from the Galtasaray captain. He believes that he was fouled by Roger Canas, so he picks up the ball ready for a free kick. The referee hadn't blown though, so he books the midfielder for a deliberate hand ball. The midfielder is furious, and has to be dragged away from the referee before he talks himself into a second yellow.

The home side are trying to finish the first half on the front foot as Kabananga unleashes a shot, before Canas tries to work it back in, but their finishing hasn't been all that accurate so far.

HALF TIME: Astana 0-1 Galatasaray

So at the break Bilal Kisa's wonder strike separates the two sides, but Galatasaray have certainly had to work hard for their lead, and know that they'll need to keep pressing in the second half to stop their hosts getting back into the match.

In the opening 45 minutes, Galatasaray ended up seeing slightly more of the ball, with 55% of the possession. The visitors had just one shot more though, with six attempts to the home side's five. Muslera has had just one shot to save though, while four of Galatasaray's efforts have been on target.

Here's Kisa celebrating the only goal of the match so far. Not only is it the 32-year-old's first goal for the club, but he's making his Champions League debut this evening:

Don't forget, we'll have live coverage of all of this evening's Champions League matches. You'll be able to follow live coverage of the seven 7.45pm kickoffs on our Champions League page.

The players are starting to make their way back out ready for the start of the second half at the Astana Arena.

RESTART! The hosts gets the action underway in the second half.

Galatasaray are having to defend in the opening moments of the second half as Kabananga sees his ball into the box deflected behind for a corner. Kethevoama curls it back in, but it ends up being scuffed into the hands of Muslera.

Selcuk Inan quickly applies the pressure down the other end as Galatasaray look to double their advantage. He passes out wide to Denayer, but the defender's cross into the box is straight into the hands of Nenad Eric.

CHANCE! Eric has to make another stop to deny the visitors a second as Carole gets forward again, sliding the ball in for Bulut, but the winger's finish is straight at the keeper. He parries the shot, before pouncing on the loose ball.

CHANCE! Astana are soon looking lively down the other end, with Canas picking out Maksimovic on the edge of the box. The midfielder hurries his shot, scuffing it straight at the keeper. Zhukov soon gets it back for the home side, playing Dzholchiyev through, but Carole blocks his first shot, before Kaya eventually clears. Galatasaray are looking vulnerable at the back at the moment.

Astana are piling forward again, this time bringing the ball down the left with Shomko coming out from the back yet again, but Kaya is there to clock his shot. The home side have certainly come out fighting in this second half.

Ilic and Zhukov work the ball through the middle, holding off pressure from Inan as they try to get the ball through for Kabananga again. Astana have been able to keep possession much better in the second half than they did in the opening 45 minutes.

CHANCE! Astana are continuing to look the more likely as Canas takes a shot on from a free kick after being brought down by Carole, but it's a comfortable save for Muslera. He apologises to his Astana teammates, having had to option to play it into the box for one of them to attempt to head in.

CHANCE! The home supporters have their heads in their hands as they realise how close they've just come to getting back on level. A superb ball comes in from Kethevoama for Dzholchiyev, but Carole just gets close enough to force the midfielder to turn his shot wide.

CHANCE! Galatasaray are absolutely clinging onto to their lead as Astana keep running at the visiting side's goal. Kabananga tries his luck from distance, driving it just wide, while Kethevoama heads inches wide of the post as Canas plays the ball into the box. It's been a brilliant spell from the hosts, but they still haven't got the goal back, and it looks like Galatasaray are preparing to make changes.

SUB! The visitors make the first substitution of the evening as Lukas Podolski makes way for Jose Rodriguez.

CHANCE! Galatasaray finally get the ball down the other end as try to ease the pressure on their own goal. Yasin Oztekin tries to cross the ball in for Bulut, but the striker doesn't get to the ball in time, leaving the cross to go just wide.

The home side are soon pressing in the Galatasaray box again, forcing a corner. Kethevoama whips is back in, leaving Canas to jump for the header, but Muslera gets to it first and punches it away.

CHANCE! Galatasaray are still looking nervy at the back as Georgi Zhukov weaves his way through the middle before unleashing a powerful drive from 20 yards out, but Muslera does enough to keep it out. The keeper had a busy opening 45 minutes, but he's keeping the visitors in the match in the second half.

CHANCE! Muslera is called into action again as Maksimovic tries to slot the ball into the bottom left with a shot at the near post, but the keeper gets down low to stop it slipping in.

GOAL! Astana 1-1 Galatasaray (Hakan Balta OG)

Astana have their first ever Champions League group stage goal, but they needed a huge stroke of luck! Dzholchiyev avoids giving away a free kick as he muscles his way past Carole, before trying to slice it in at the near post. Muslera tries to tip it away, but it's straight onto the leg of Hakan Balta, who can only watch as the ball strikes him shin and goes straight past his own keeper.

CHANCE! Galatasaray are on the charge down the other end as they look to restore their lead just moments after letting in the equaliser. Sneijder plays the ball in for Bulut, but Eric just about covers the near post to stop him getting the ball into the bottom left corner.

Could Astana actually go on to win this? The home side clearly think so as Canas carves out some space down the left, but his cross into the box lacks accuracy.

SUBS! There are a string of changes as Kethevoama and Dzholchiyev make way for the hosts with Nuserbayev and Muzhikov coming on. Meanwhile, Galatasaray's goalscorer goals off, with striker Sinan Gumus taking his spot.

CHANCE! If either side is going to find a winner in the final 10 minutes, it certainly looks like Astana are more likely, as Kabananga finds himself with space ahead of him, leaving him to thump the ball towards the Galatasaray goal, but his finish flashes just wide.

CHANCE! While Astana are enjoying the majority of the chances, they need to be wary of the counter-attack as Galatasaray press down the other end, resulting in Denayer taking on the shot, but it's a real defender's finish as he weakly taps the ball straight to the keeper.

GOAL! Astana 1-2 Galatasaray (Nenad Eric OG)

It's a disaster for the Astana goalkeeper as he tips the ball back into his own net while attempting to diver a shot from Sinan Gumis substitute. It's a bitter blow for the hosts, and the keeper looks absolutely crest-fallen.

Astana aren't willing to let this one go, as they force a string of corners down the other end as they try to get back on level terms for a second time, but Sneijder eventually hooks it clear for the hosts.

GOAL! Astana 2-2 Galatasaray (Roger Canas)

Wow! Astana's pressure pays off yet again as Muslera punches clear from a cross from the left, leaving Roger Canas to hit it on the rebound from the edge of the box. Lionel Carole gets the final touch as he desperately tries to stop it going in, but no-one's going to stop Canas claiming it.

Astana are still pressure, they clearly think there's time to win it as the match heads into stoppage time, but Galatasaray have numbers back.

FULL TIME: Astana 2-2 Galatasaray

Well that was a rather frantic finish! After some late, late drama, Astana have their first Champions League group stage point after twice coming from behind against Galatasaray. They dominated the second half, and thoroughly deserved the draw this evening.

Just to clear up any confusion over the second equaliser, it was initially given as a Lionel Carole own goal as the defender was the last one to touch it, but Canas's effort looked like it was going in, so it's now been awarded to the Astana midfielder.

So, that's all from this match, but stick around as our live coverage of all of the 7.45pm kickoffs is just getting underway. Thanks for joining me this evening. Goodbye!
