Monaco have failed to turn their domination of possession into a half-time lead as they go in level with struggling AC Ajaccio at the interval.
The game began somewhat lethargically before the hosts forged their first clear-cut opportunity on the quarter-hour mark, when the recalled Anthony Martial picked up the ball on the edge of the box before beating two defenders, only to see his left-footed drive tipped around by Guillermo Ochoa.
Minutes later, Ochoa was called into action again to palm over Jeremy Toulalan's effort from the edge of the area.
The Corsicans' only chance of note fell to Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi, who headed a cross over the bar the left just before the break.
A win for Monaco would see them close the gap on league leaders Paris Saint-Germain to two points.
