Arsene Wenger eyes "two or three" summer signings

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reveals that he is looking to sign "two or three" players to strengthen his squad this summer.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is looking to bring in "two or three" players to strengthen his squad this summer.

The Gunners ended their nine-year trophy drought with an extra-time win over Hull City in the FA Cup final on Saturday, but questions still linger regarding the ability of the current crop of players to launch a lasting title challenge.

Wenger is hoping that a couple of additions will aid his side in that respect, but he admitted that he is unsure about the future of Bacary Sagna and Lukasz Fabianski, who are both out of contract this summer.

"First, we have to wait for Sagna - what will he do? - and Fabianski. After, we have to bring in two or three players to strengthen the squad that is for sure," Wenger is quoted as saying by PA.

"Unfortunately, everywhere we go, there are many teams on the market at the moment."

Arsenal finished fourth in the Premier League table this season, seven points adrift of champions Manchester City.
