Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh agrees to join Crystal Palace on a six-month loan deal, according to a report.

Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh has reportedly agreed to join Crystal Palace on a six-month loan deal.

The Eagles have been looking to bolster their attacking ranks ahead of their return to the Premier League.

The Morocco international has struggled to make an impact at the Gunners since his arrival in 2010, so manager Arsene Wenger has allowed him to secure a move to Palace.

Ian Holloway's side have the option of extending the deal until the end of the season should Chamakh prove to be a hit at Selhurst Park, reports The Mirror.

The 29-year-old spent the second half of the last campaign on loan at West Ham United where he failed to score in three appearances.
