Report: Arsenal, Liverpool watch Gregoire Defrel

A report claims that Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool are monitoring the form of Sassuolo forward Gregoire Defrel.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both reportedly interested in signing Sassuolo forward Gregoire Defrel.

The 25-year-old, who started his career with Parma before moving on to Cesena and latterly Sassuolo, has scored four times in all competitions at the start of the 2016-17 campaign.

According to reports in Italy, both Arsenal and Liverpool have made subtle enquiries over the availability of the French-born striker, although Sassuolo are keen to hold on to their prized asset.

Defrel has helped his club collect 12 points from their first six games of the new Serie A season, which has left them in third position in the table, just three points behind the leaders and champions Juventus.
