Arsenal boss Unai Emery reportedly wants to bring Monaco striker Radamel Falcao back to the Premier League next season.
The Colombia international is believed to have informed Monaco chiefs that he does not intend to stay on for another campaign following a dreadful 12 months for the French side.
Inter Milan are widely considered to be at the front of the queue for Falcao, but his £21.5m valuation may put off the Serie A club.
Reports in Spain claim that a return to English football is now a possibility for the 33-year-old, who previously flopped during loan spells with Manchester United and Chelsea.
Arsenal are said to be willing to offer Falcao a bigger salary than the likes of Real Betis and Sevilla - two other sides to have showed a rumoured interest - though the striker would prefer to link up with former club Atletico Madrid.
Falcao has scored 14 goals in 30 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
