Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli, following his strong start to the season under Mikel Arteta.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli.

Martinelli has been influential in Arsenal building a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, but that has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including the French champions.

According to French media outlet Media Foot, discussions are already underway between PSG and Martinelli's representatives.

With his current deal expiring in 18 months, the Gunners will be keen to lock the Brazilian down with a new deal to ward off any interest.

The 21-year-old has become a key player on the left wing for Mikel Arteta, starting 14 games in the league, where he has scored five times and assisted twice so far.

Having made his debut for Brazil in March of this year, Martinelli was selected as part of Brazil's World Cup squad for the tournament in Qatar, where he started the 1-0 loss to Cameroon, as well as earning 18 minutes off the bench in the win over South Korea.
