Ipswich Town are reportedly in advanced negotiations to sign Arsenal winger Ainsley Maitland-Niles on a season-long loan deal.
The 17-year-old made his senior debut for the Gunners during a Champions League tie against Galatasaray in 2014 and went on to make a further two appearances before the end of the season.
However, manager Arsene Wenger is said to have decided that the England youth international would now benefit from spending a campaign on loan elsewhere, which is thought to have alerted a host of Championship clubs.
According to the East Anglian Daily Times, it is Ipswich that lead the chase, with confirmation of Maitland-Niles's arrival at Portman Road expected in the near future.
In April, Maitland-Niles was in the headlines when his mother was banned from Arsenal's training ground for her alleged physical assault of chief negotiator Dick Law.
