Francis Coquelin is reportedly close to signing a new four-year deal with Arsenal.

The midfielder is due to be rewarded for his nine starts this season with a pay rise which will bring his wages above £10,000 a week, according to The Sun.

The France Under-20 star is also likely to be shipped out on a loan move in order to gain more first-team experience.

Wolverhampton Wanderers lead the Premier League interest in Coquelin, while a number of French clubs including Lille and Nice are also attracted to the 20-year-old.

Coquelin spent three years at Stade Lavallois before being spotted by an Arsenal scout in 2008.
