Arsenal and Queens Park Rangers are reportedly preparing to go head to head for the signature of AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp is believed to be keen on the Dutchman, but the Gunners are also monitoring the former Manchester City man's San Siro situation.
According to The Sun, Redknapp will make a move for the tough-tackling De Jong, but any action from the R's could see Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger counter with a deal of his own.
De Jong has just 12 months on his current contract with the Italian side and is said to be unhappy following Clarence Seedorf's sacking.
