Moussa Sissoko inspired by former Arsenal players

Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko reveals his admiration for former Arsenal players Sylvain Wiltord, Robert Pires, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira.

Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has revealed that it was the dominance of Robert Pires, Sylvain Wiltord, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira at Arsenal that made him want to play in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old admitted that watching the French foursome plying their trade for the Gunners inspired him to one day play in England's top division.

"When I was a kid, I was very impressed by Arsenal with all their Frenchmen - Robert Pires, Sylvain Wiltord, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira," The Mirror quotes Sissoko as saying.

"I have always wanted to play in England. It is the league that suits me the best. I loved Thierry Henry and above all Patrick Vieira as we played in the same position. He radiated such power. He could cross the whole pitch with the ball at his feet."

Sissoko was bought from Ligue 1 side Toulouse last month.
