Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to emulate Arsene Wenger

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino expresses his admiration for long-serving Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to emulate his Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger by remaining at the club for years to come.

The Frenchman has been in charge of the Gunners for 18 years, and the Spurs boss is intent on building a similar legacy for himself at White Hart Lane.

"We have a good relationship. I have full respect for him; he is a great manager. An 18-year stay in charge is not easy and it's a big gap compared with me at Tottenham," Sky Sports News quotes Pochettino as saying.

"Tottenham for me is a big job. It's a dream to be here and would be to have the time Arsene has had at Arsenal. For this I need to show my skill, work hard and get the results.

"In football you never know, you need to work with the passion that you have. We are positive in our job and in our player's skill, and we want to go as far as possible."

Arsenal play host to Spurs in the North London derby this Saturday.
