Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has played down concerns that Jack Wilshere's long-term fitness could be affected due to the number of injuries suffered.
The England international, who has had numerous lengthy stints on the treatment table in his career, is facing three months out of action after undergoing ankle surgery.
Wilshere, who has been in impressive form of late, suffered the problem during the Gunners' 2-1 defeat to Manchester United last weekend.
"I was more worried one year ago than I am today because he had two or three surgeries on his right ankle," Wenger told reporters. "At some stage, you could raise that question, but today I am much more confident that he will [fulfil his potential].
"If he has no problem with his joints, he will make a massive career."
Arsenal will take on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns tomorrow.
