Having lost each of their opening three games, Aldosivi play host to Platense at the Estadio Jose Maria Minella on Tuesday as they look to end this dry spell.
The Calamares, on the other hand, have kicked off the new Primera Division campaign in fine fashion and could move top of the league standings with all three points here.
Match preview
Aldosivi failed to get up and running in the Argentine top flight as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Patronato de Parana on Tuesday.
In a game where Santiago Laquidain received his marching orders, Facundo Cobos struck the only goal of the contest to hand El Patron all three points at the Estadio Presbitero Bartolome Grella.
Prior to that, Diego Villar's men were condemned to a 2-1 loss at Argentinos Juniors in their season opener on June 7 before suffering a 1-0 home defeat against Estudiantes three days later.
Aldosivi, who are the only side yet to pick up a point in the Primera Division, head into Tuesday on a run of five consecutive defeats across all competitions, stretching back to their Copa Argentina victory over Colegiales on May 3.
This poor run has been owing to their toothless display in attack and their struggles at the defensive end of the pitch as they have scored just two goals while shipping 11 in that time.
Elsewhere, Platense failed to make it three wins from three last time out as they could only salvage a 1-1 draw with a spirited Gimnasia y Esgrima side.
In a cagey affair at the Estadio Ciudad de Vicente Lopez, 21-year-old forward Lautaro Chavez put the visitors ahead in the 83rd minute but Talleres loanee Juan Cruz Esquivel struck five minutes later to restore parity.
Prior to that, Platense ended a run of 12 games without a win when they beat Godoy Cruz 2-1 in this season's curtain-raiser on June 4 before claiming a 1-0 win at Velez Sarfield eight days later.
The Calamares will now look to keep the juggernaut rolling and pick up successive away wins in the Primera Division for the first time since seeing off Union and Racing Club in October 2021.

Team News
Aldosivi will take to the pitch without the services of Laquidain after the 20-year-old received his marching orders against Patronato last time out.
In his absence, Federico Milo, who made nine appearances last season, will push for his first start of the new campaign, teaming up with Patricio Boolsen, Mario Lopez and Rufino Lucero at the defensive end of the pitch.
Platense, meanwhile, will once again make do with the midfield trio of Franco Baldassarra, Nicolas Bertolo and Franz Gonzales Mejia, who are recuperating from injuries.
Former Velez Sarfield forward Nicolas Delgadillo is set to sit out his third consecutive game after coming off injured in the 15th minute against Godoy Cruz on June 4.
Twenty-five-year-old Brian Mansilla is also a doubt for the visitors as he continues his spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee problem back in April.
Aldosivi possible starting lineup:
Devecchi; Lucero, Lopez, Boolsen, Milo; Cerro, Meli; Pisano, Martinez, Martinez; Silva
Platense possible starting lineup:
Ledesma; Morgantini, Diaz, Suso, Pignani; Villalba, Infante; Schor, Gomez, Zarate; Bergessio
We say: Aldosivi 0-2 Platense
Aldosivi and Platense have had contrasting starts to the season, with the Tiburon losing each of their opening three outings. The visitors head into the game as one of the most in-form sides in the division so far and we predict they will clean the dust off their feet and come away with all three points on Tuesday.
