China win gold in women's synchronised 3m springboard

Chinese duo Mixia Wu and Zi He claim gold in the women's synchronised 3m springboard.

Minxia Wu and Zi He have won the women's synchronised 3m springboard gold for China.

The diving duo capped off an impressive performance with a well-executed back two-and-a-half somersault for a final score of 346.20.

Kelci Bryant and Abigial Johnston took home silver for the United States with a final score of 321.90, while Canada secured third place and a bronze medal at the death with 316.80.

Italian pair Francesca Dallape and Tania Cagnotto were unlucky to come away empty-handed after remaining among the chasing pack until the final round, ending on 314.10 points.

Great Britain's Rebecca Gallantree and Alicia Blagg could only manage a seventh-placed finish on 285.60. They were penalised in the final round for discrepancies in their back two-and-a-half somersault.
