Scott Johnson relishing Wales clash

Scott Johnson calls on the Welsh Rugby Union to close the Millennium Stadium roof for this weekend's Six Nations encounter between Wales and Scotland.

Scotland head coach Scott Johnson has called on the Welsh Rugby Union to close the roof of the Millennium Stadium for this weekend's Six Nations clash.

Johnson, who spent four years as part of Wales's backroom staff, takes his side to Cardiff on the back of a narrow defeat at the hands of France last time out.

"You should never run away from the fact you want the best conditions," the Australian is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "The crowd deserve it and it will make the Millennium Stadium a cauldron.

"These Scotland players will thank me for it later because it's a great environment in which to ply your trade, and they will find out things about themselves. I'm also looking forward to the challenge."

Scotland are currently fifth in the Six Nations table, two points behind Wales.
