France coach Philippe Saint-Andre has left fly-half Francois Trinh-Duc out of his 31-man squad for the Rugby World Cup.
The 28-year-old has been dropped in favour of veteran Frederic Michalak, who played at fly-half in France's 25-20 defeat of England on Saturday evening.
Trinh-Duc, who has played for hometown side Montpellier since 2004, featured in the 2011 World Cup final.
Sebastien Vahaamahina, Xavier Chiocci, Loann Goujon and Remi Lamerat have also been dropped from Saint-Andre's initial squad.
In a brief statement, Saint-Andre said: "It was a difficult moment to see the five players leave the group."
France will take on Scotland in their final World Cup warm-up fixture on September 5.
