Stuart Lancaster: "We played intelligently" in Australia win

England coach Stuart Lancaster praises his side for playing "intelligently" in their win over Australia in the final Autumn International at Twickenham.

Stuart Lancaster has said that his England team played "intelligently" to secure a win over Australia in their final match of this year's Autumn Internationals.

Ben Morgan scored two tries at Twickenham to lead the home side to a 26-17 win over the Wallabies this afternoon - their second victory from four matches over the last month.

Lancaster told BBC Sport: "We've still got lots to work on, we know that. We have some good players to come back into the equation ahead of the Six Nations.

"We played intelligently today, kicking at the right time, turning them and using our set-piece. And the boys executed the gameplan. The scrum was excellent, as was the maul. But that was the game today, you have to play rugby in different ways.

"We've got a good pack. We're not just a set-piece side, because we're bound to run up against scrums that'll match us. But against New Zealand and South Africa, our game management let us down. Overall, today our game management was much better."

England beat Samoa last weekend, but suffered defeats to South Africa and New Zealand in their first two autumn Tests.
