Juan Martin Hernandez calls for more belief

Argentina's players and fans must share a collective belief as the knockout stages move into sight, Juan Martin Hernandez tells Sports Mole.

Juan Martin Hernandez has urged his Argentina teammates to "keep on believing" after getting their Rugby World Cup campaign right back on track.

An impressive second-half display helped Los Pumas on their way to a 54-9 victory over Georgia on Friday evening.

That seven-try triumph comes less than a week on from an opening-game defeat to world champions New Zealand, which made the clash against Georgia essentially a must-win contest.

Having stuttered through the entire opening 40 minutes, Hernandez claimed after the game that a slight tweak in mentality helped Argentina to get themselves off the mark.

"We stopped giving away penalties and played with some more speed," he told Sports Mole. "We played some good rugby today and also last Sunday.

"I found it so much fun out there today. The Argentinian fans in the stands were also awesome, so we now all need to just keep on believing."

Argentina have now got the better of Georgia in each of the last three World Cups.
