Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to face Bradford Bulls after Sheffield Eagles defeat

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats face a showdown against the Bradford Bulls to determine their Super League fate after losing 24-10 to the Sheffield Eagles.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will face off against the Bradford Bulls in the Super League qualifier final after falling to a 24-10 defeat against the Sheffield Eagles.

The home side took the lead through a score from Scott Turner in the 18th minute, and Cory Aston extended his side's advantage when he crossed the line in the 25th minute.

Danny Kirmond got the visitors back into the game when he crashed through a tackle to touch down in the 31st minute, but Menzie Yere put Sheffield back in control when he finished off a flowing team move in the corner.

The Wildcats reduced the deficit to six points just before the break when Ben Kavanagh dove in under the posts and Joe Arundel added the conversion.

However, Pat Walker added a drop goal in the second half to restore the Eagles' control of the match and Quentin Togaga'e soon finished the game for the home side when he raided over the line for the try.
