Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly keen to sign a new striker during the January transfer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has reportedly indicated that he would like to sign a new striker in January.

The newly-promoted side have enjoyed a strong start to the Premier League campaign, with 15 points being recorded from their opening nine games back in the top flight.

However, the West Midlands outfit have only scored nine goals, and according to The Telegraph, Nuno is keen to boost his numbers in the final third.

Raul Jimenez has made a huge impact since joining on loan from Benfica, but Nuno may be keen to bring in an upgrade to Leo Bonatini who has not scored a league goal since December.

Wolves will receive their £12m fee from Stoke City for Benik Afobe in January, providing the club with extra funds for the start of 2019.

A report has also claimed that Nuno holds an interest in Saidy Janko, who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest.
