Ben Watson: 'Wigan Athletic reacting positively'

Ben Watson believes that Wigan Athletic are reacting positively to life in the Championship.

Ben Watson has claimed that Wigan Athletic are reacting well to their relegation from the Premier League.

The Latics got their Championship campaign underway on Saturday with a comfortable 4-0 win over Barnsley at Oakwell.

"Getting relegated is tough to take and now we're adapting to the Championship because it's a tough league and we reacted really well to that," Watson told the club's official website.

"It's a long season and there will be ups and downs and we have to stick together through all of it."

Wigan are back in action on Sunday when they face Manchester United in the Community Shield at Wembley.
