Southampton striker Emmanuel Mayuka has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Championship side Wigan Athletic.
Manager Owen Coyle has already added attackers Grant Holt and Marc-Antoine Fortune to his squad this summer, but the Scot is believed to be attracted to Mayuka's pace.
The Latics may not be able to fund a permanent move for the 22-year-old but are hopeful that they can convince the Saints to sanction a season-long loan deal, according to The People.
The report added that Coyle is keen to recruit the Zambia international before next weekend's Community Shield clash against Manchester United.
