Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle has revealed that the club has not received any bid for midfielder James McCarthy.
The 22-year-old Republic of Ireland international has been linked with following former Latics boss Roberto Martinez to Everton, while Newcastle United are also reported to be keen on the player.
"I've not had any inquiries, let alone offers, for any of my players," Sky Sports News quotes Coyle as saying.
"But ultimately good players attract attention and there's no getting away from it, James McCarthy is such a hugely talented player.
"And if there is any interest, he'll be the first to know. Then, as a club we decide what happens from there."
Wigan started their Championship campaign in style on Saturday when they beat Barnsley 4-0 at Oakwell.
