Mauro Zarate edges closer to Queens Park Rangers loan

Mauro Zarate claims that West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has shown him a lack of respect ahead of a loan move to Queens Park Rangers.

Mauro Zarate has revealed his anger with the lack of chances he has been given at West Ham United ahead of a proposed loan move to Queens Park Rangers.

The 27-year-old is believed to be on the brink of moving to QPR for the remainder of the season after falling behind Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll at Upton Park.

Despite not yet completing a deal to leave East London, Zarate has directed criticism at Sam Allardyce by claiming that he was not used regularly by the Hammers boss because it was co-chairman David Sullivan who signed him in the summer.

"I now have the chance to play for a coach who has faith in me and will not allow his personal feelings to get in the way of what is good for the team," the Argentine is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"I respect the other strikers at the club who have done a good job, but I believe my record entitles me to respect and I have not had that from the manager.

"The chairman has confidence in me. I know this because he brought me to the club, but for this reason the manager has refused to play me. He did not want me."

Zarate, who has scored two goals in eight appearances this season, is reportedly set to have a medical at QPR on Tuesday.
