Peter Odemwingie has revealed that the entire West Bromwich Albion squad have been informed by manager Steve Clarke that nobody is guaranteed a place in the starting lineup.
The Baggies, who have earned a number of plaudits for their performances this season, are currently fourth in the Premier League table.
However, Nigerian striker Odemwingie has admitted that all of the players are being kept on their toes.
"Before the Chelsea game he made an extra comment on those who are not even on the bench," said Odemwingie. "He said he needs everyone because there will be lots of games coming up.
"He told us that from the stand to the bench isn't far, and from the bench to the pitch isn't far.
"He has to manage things in a long season where we're hoping to achieve something. We need every player and that's what he said in his talk on Saturday."
Clarke took charge of West Brom during the summer.
