Diego Forlan fit for Uruguay opener

Uruguay forward Diego Forlan is expected to be available for his country's World Cup clash against Costa Rica.

Uruguay forward Diego Forlan is expected to be available for his country's World Cup clash against Costa Rica.

The 35-year-old has been suffering with an upset stomach and was forced to miss training on Wednesday.

However, he was able to train with the squad during Thursday's practice session and should be ready for their Group G opener in Fortaleza on Saturday.

Luis Suarez also returned to training for the first time since undergoing a knee operation on May 21, but he is unlikely to play against Costa Rica.
