Toronto too good for Montreal Impact

Michael Bradley plays a leading role for Toronto in his first 401 derby, helping his side beat Montreal Impact 2-0.

Toronto were without injured striker Jermaine Defoe for their derby match with Montreal Impact, but were still too good for their rivals on the night.

Michael Bradley played a leading role for Toronto in his first 401 derby, helping to orchestrate both of his side's goals.

Dominant early and throughout, Toronto opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Dominic Oduro cut the ball back to Gilberto, who blasted his 10-yard effort in with his first touch.

A moment of Bradley brilliance paved the way for Toronto's second in the 54th minute. The midfielder found Oduro, who carried the ball into the box, passing into the path of ex-Swansea striker Luke Moore, who tapped in from close range.

The win against their arch rivals lifts Toronto to third place in the Eastern Conference.
