Swansea City bounced back from two defeats on the spin to record a 1-0 victory over Hull City in the Premier League.
Ki Sung-yueng's deflection proved to be the difference between the two sides as he guided Jonjo Shelvey's effort past Allan McGregor to hand Garry Monk's men the three points at the KC Stadium.

Goal
Allan McGregor: Could do nothing to prevent Ki's deflection from finding the net. Made a great save in the second half to deny Shelvey from close range. (7/10)
Defence
Ahmed Elmohamady: Left space open behind him in his role as wing-back, which on another day could have been exploited better by the Swans. Was unable to produce quality in the final third with his deliveries from the right. (5/10)
James Chester: Enjoyed a physical battle with Bafetimbi Gomis and won his fare share of aerial duels. Could have closed down Shelvey more speedily for Swansea's goal. (6/10)
Alex Bruce: Did not spot the runs from deep as well as he should have, and sometimes caught out of position. Was sacrificed in the second half as Hull changed formation. (5/10)
Curtis Davies: Struggled at times with the physical presence of Gomis, and was not the dependable player Hull have come to expect at the back. Was replaced by Harry Maguire late on due to an apparent injury. (5/10)
Andrew Robertson: Was unlucky to see his powerful effort hit the bar in the first half, and showed willingness to raid forward down the left. His delivery in the final third was often poor. (6/10)
Midfield
David Meyler: Had a bright start to the game, but faded rapidly as he was part of the midfield which lost the battle in the centre of the park. (5/10)
Jake Livermore: Was booked in the first half and that took away the physical edge of his game. Was not competitive enough in the middle of the park as Shelvey and Ki took control of the game. (5/10)
Gaston Ramirez: Not creative enough for the home side, and was a passenger as he offered nothing in a defensive role. (4/10)
Attack
Abel Hernandez: Showed glimpses of his physical presence early in the game, but those were few and far between as he faded drastically as the game wore on. Was barely a threat to the visitors. (5/10)
Nikica Jelavic: Should have done better with an early chance as he poked his effort wide of the post. Was starved of service in the game, but did not show enough willingness to battle for the ball. (5/10)
Substitutes
Sone Aluko: Attempted to provide Hull with a threat down the right as he put crosses into the box, but his deliveries lacked quality. Was booked for a poor challenge on Neil Taylor. (5/10)
Harry Maguire: Tried to make a nuisance of himself in the final third of the pitch late in the game. Was skinned by Bony, which could have led to a second Swansea goal. (5/10)

Ashley Richards: Was caught out at times by Robertson when the Scot raided forward, and was also booked in the first half. (5/10)
Federico Fernandez: Made an early mistake, which on another day could have been punished. Oother than that was solid at the back and distributed the ball well to his midfield. (7/10)
Ashley Williams: A rock at the heart of his side's defence as he quelled the attacking threat of the Tigers. Was dominant in the air for the majority of the match. (8/10)
Neil Taylor: Was given a tough assignment against the pace of Elmohamady, but won the battle convincingly and also edged the contest against Aluko when he arrived from the bench. (7/10)
Midfield
Ki Sung-yueng: Was lucky to score the goal that handed his side the three points, but put in a composed display in the middle of the park alongside Shelvey. He used the ball efficiently and always seemed to pick out the right pass. (8/10)
Tom Carroll: Had one good run in the second half when he teed up Shelvey inside the box, but other than that had a quiet afternoon, as he allowed the more established players to run proceedings. (6/10)
Jonjo Shelvey: An excellent display from the midfielder as put in a true performance as a box-to-box midfielder. He was active in a defensive role and very prominent in the final third of the pitch. Was unlucky to hit the post, and be denied by a great save from McGregor. (8/10)
Nathan Dyer: Showed good pace on the break, but his decision making was questionable as he wasted good opportunities in the final third. (6/10)
Wayne Routledge: Had a few brief moments in the game, but was not utilised as the Swans had success through the middle. (6/10)
Attack
Bafetimbi Gomis: Was not a threat in the box, albeit had one volley which hit the post in the second half. Was a strong presence and held the ball extremely well for his team. (7/10)
Substitutes
Marvin Emnes: Spurned a great chance to fire his side into a two-goal lead as he put the ball wide from a corner. Used his pace to decent effect as his side looked to kill the time on the clock. (6/10)
Wilfried Bony: Had one late chance after coming on late in the game, but saw his effort deflected wide of the post. Was a threat in his brief time on the pitch. (6/10)
Angel Rangel: Brought on late to ensure that Richards was not dismissed, and helped his side see out the victory. (6/10)
