Stoke City boss Tony Pulis feels that his side have performed well this season and is pleased with their 13th-place finish in the Premier League.

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has admitted that he is satisfied with his side's season as they finished in 13th place in the Premier League.

The Potters drew on the final day of the season in their clash with Southampton at St Mary's Stadium as Peter Crouch's opener was cancelled out by a Rickie Lambert strike.

"The aim of the season is to always improve, and if you go by last season, then we have improved by one place," Pulis told the club's official website.

"I also think I am right in saying that this is the first time in the Club's history that we have finished out of the bottom six for five consecutive seasons in the top-flight of English football.

"It's a new achievement for us as a football club and a fantastic record."

Stoke's revival towards the end of the season has all but ended speculation that Pulis would leave the club in the summer.
