Mauricio Pochettino "open" to new arrivals

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says that he is "open" to the prospect of one or two new players joining the club this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that he could look to bring in "one or two" new faces before the end of the transfer window.

Pochettino has so far brought in Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen this summer as they look to improve upon their third-place finish from last season.

The Argentine admits that it will be "difficult" to find players who will improve his side, but also insists that he is not worried by the amount of money being spent by other clubs in the league.

"Yes, maybe yes. We are open to add one or two players, or maybe no-one. If we have the possibility to sign some players that can improve us, then we are open. But I think it's very difficult to find players with this profile because we already have very good players and because of the way we work and our philosophy," he told reporters.

"I'm not worried about [other teams spending]. When you spend a lot of money it's because you are worried about your squad and desperate to improve it. I'm very happy with my players and because of that I'm very quiet and relaxed. I trust my squad 100%."

Spurs will begin the new campaign away to Everton on Saturday.
