Ronald Koeman prepared for summer departures

Ronald Koeman admits that he is expecting players to leave Southampton when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has admitted that there will be players who leave his squad in the summer after an impressive campaign in the Premier League.

Koeman arrived at the club last year with the likes of Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert all heading out the exit door, and despite accepting that there will be changes again, the Dutchman is keen to keep hold of his most important players.

"We will do everything to keep all the players in the club," the Saints boss told reporters. "It won't be like last season, well I hope not.

"We will lose some, that's normal, we just have to be prepared."

Southampton are currently sixth in the Premier League, six points outside the Champions League qualifying places.
