Craig Levein not leaving Scotland job despite Wales defeat

Craig Levein admits that qualifying for the 2014 World Cup finals will be difficult for Scotland, but refuses to hand in his resignation.

Scotland coach Craig Levein has insisted that he will not step down from his post, but admits that qualifying for the 2014 World Cup finals will be tough.

The 47-year-old saw his side concede twice in the final 10 minutes at the Cardiff City Stadium against Wales to suffer a 2-1 defeat in their third qualifier.

"Leaving? No chance," he is quoted as saying by the BBC.

"It's a job I really want to do, I love doing it and it's important that we pick ourselves up and go again.

"It leaves us needing to win the game [against Belgium] on Tuesday, that's for sure. It is a difficult task, but it's a different game altogether on Tuesday."

Scotland are currently fourth in Group A with two points from three matches.
