Brazilian midfielder Fernando has confirmed that Italian outfit Roma have made a bid for his services.
The 21-year-old, who currently represents Gremio in his home nation, is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in world football.
A host of European clubs have been linked with the playmaker, but he has revealed that Roma are in the driving seat.
"My agent has in his hands an option from Roma," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"It will be fair for my career, it's a very prestigious club that will play the Champions League next season, and they want to win, as I do."
Fernando has appeared more than 100 times for his current club.
