Roma boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly happy to stay at the Italian club, despite links with the vacant Everton role.

Jose Mourinho is happy to stay at Roma, despite links with Everton, according to a report.

The Toffees are currently on the lookout for a brand new manager after the club decided to sack Rafael Benitez following the recent defeat to Norwich City.

Several names have been linked with the vacant role, and that includes former boss Roberto Martinez, and ex-Premier League champion, Mourinho.

According to Sky Sports News, Mourinho is happy in Italy right now, and he wants to continue working with Roma, which is a club he only joined in the summer.

The experienced manager has a three-year contract right now, with his team currently sat seventh in the table after 11 wins from their opening 22 games.

Two former Premier League footballers have also been linked with the Everton job, as Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney have been linked to the position.

As for now, Duncan Ferguson will be working as the caretaker manager, and he will be in charge on Saturday when they face Aston Villa.
