Real Madrid have reportedly failed in their final attempt to hand a new contract to Lucas Vazquez.
The long-serving Spaniard has made 27 starts and three substitute outings this season, one of his best returns since earning a spot in the Los Blancos first-team squad.
Zinedine Zidane is keen for club officials to agree a contract extension with the 29-year-old, whose versatility has benefitted the Spanish giants since September.
However, according to ABC, Vazquez has turned down the offer of a three-year deal with a 10% pay cut.
Aware of interest from clubs around Europe, the right-sided player is seemingly keen to explore other options at an important stage of his career.
Vazquez has made 237 appearances for Real since coming through the club's academy setup, spending just one year away from the club while on loan at Espanyol.
