Saturday's La Liga predictions including Celta Vigo vs. Real Madrid

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Celta Vigo vs. Real Madrid.

Athletic Bilbao vs. Espanyol (Saturday, 1.00pm)

Athletic Bilbao will be aiming to bounce back from a defeat when they resume their La Liga campaign at home to Espanyol on Saturday afternoon.

The Basque side were beaten 2-1 by Girona last time out, which left them in sixth spot in the La Liga table, while Espanyol are 14th in the division, picking up 10 points from their opening nine matches.

We say: Athletic Bilbao 2-1 Espanyol

Athletic will be missing some key players this weekend, and Espanyol are certainly capable of making this an uncomfortable match for the home side. The Lions can still call upon some excellent quality, though, and we are backing them to navigate their way to all three points on Saturday afternoon.

Osasuna vs. Betis (Saturday, 3.15pm)

Osasuna will be aiming to continue their strong start to their 2024-25 La Liga campaign when they welcome Real Betis to Estadio El Sadar on Saturday afternoon.

The home side have picked up 15 points from their nine matches this season to sit fifth in the La Liga table, while Real Betis are 10th, having collected 12 points from their opening nine games of the campaign.

We say: Osasuna 1-0 Real Betis

Real Betis have enjoyed a lot of recent success over Osasuna, but we are struggling to back the visitors with any real confidence here. Osasuna have been so strong at home this season, and we are expecting Moreno's team to put another three points on the board this weekend.

Girona vs. Real Sociedad (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Two teams that have underwhelmed in the early stages of the 2024-25 La Liga campaign will lock horns on Saturday evening, with Girona welcoming Real Sociedad to Estadi Montilivi.

Girona have picked up 12 points from their opening nine matches of the season to sit down in 11th spot in the La Liga table, while Real Sociedad are 15th, having only collected nine points from nine games.

We say: Girona 1-1 Real Sociedad

This is a tricky game for both sides, and we are finding it difficult to separate them here. Five of the last six La Liga matches between the two teams have finished all square, and we are predicting another stalemate this weekend.

Celta Vigo vs. Real Madrid (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Real Madrid will be bidding to make it back-to-back wins in Spain's top flight when they continue their domestic campaign with a clash against Celta Vigo at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos on Saturday night.

Los Blancos are currently second in the La Liga table, boasting 21 points from their opening nine matches of the campaign, while Celta occupy ninth, with a successful start seeing them collect 13 points from nine games.

We say: Celta Vigo 0-2 Real Madrid

Real Madrid have found it difficult to get going on their travels this season, and Celta are a big threat in the final third of the field. Aspas's absence is a blow for the Sky Blues, though, and we are backing Ancelotti's side to pick up a much-needed three points here.
