Reading secure loan signing of Crystal Palace forward Kwesi Appiah

Championship outfit Reading sign Crystal Palace and Ghana forward Kwesi Appiah on loan until the end of the season.

Championship outfit Reading have signed Crystal Palace forward Kwesi Appiah on loan until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old spent part of this season on loan at Cambridge United, scoring eight goals for the League Two side.

Appiah, who shone for Ghana at this year's Africa Cup of Nations, will not be available to feature in Reading's FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal at Wembley as he is cup-tied.

The former Notts County loanee becomes the Royals' second loan signing of the week after Chelsea defender Nathan Ake joined on an initial month's loan.
