Ruben Rochina reveals Rayo Vallecano confidence

Ruben Rochina, who is on loan at Rayo Vallecano from Blackburn Rovers, reveals that back-to-back wins have handed the Spanish side confidence in their relegation battle.

Ruben Rochina has revealed that back-to-back wins for Rayo Vallecano in La Liga has breathed new life into their relegation battle.

The capital outfit have struggled for points this season, but successive wins over Valencia and Real Sociedad have moved them onto 26 points.

They remain in the relegation zone, but are now level on points with Almeria, who sit 18th, and Real Valladolid, who are 17th.

"They were three really important points. Now we're on a par with lots of other teams, with just a game difference and the win at Real Sociedad meant a great deal," he told reporters.

Rochina is currently on loan from Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
