Esteban Cambiasso says that he is "disappointed" with Inter Milan's performance against Parma and admits that their hosts "deserved" their 1-0 win.

Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has admitted that his side "deserved" to lose to Parma in Serie A on Monday.

Nicola Sansone's strike in the 75th minute saw the Nerazzurri suffer a 1-0 defeat at Stadio Ennio Tardini.

"There is bitterness tonight," said Cambiasso. "We are a club that are always at the top and we want to be back there.

"In the first half we tried to take the game to Parma, we tried to keep hold of the ball but we were not very effective.

"They grew in confidence in the second half and created some good chances. Overall I would say they deserved the victory but I am disappointed with the performance."

Inter remain four points behind Serie A leaders Juventus in fourth.
