Norwich City keeper Jed Steer has revealed that he wants to emulate Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar.

Steer, 19, made his first appearance for the Canaries during Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup win over West Bromich Albion.

"I've dreamed about making my Norwich debut for years and it was everything I had hoped for and more," Steer said.

"I've had a Norwich season ticket since I was five. But my hero has always been Van der Sar. He kicked really well and was technically brilliant.

"Hopefully I can last as long as him."

Norwich will host Leicester City in the fifth round of the tournament.
