FIFA president Sepp Blatter has been compared to Jesus, Nelson Mandela and a host of other historical figures by his supporters.
The comments were made by delegates at the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football congress, who are backing the Swiss for re-election in May.
Dominican Republic FA president Osiris Guzman also likened Blatter to Moses, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, reports BBC Sport.
The Trinidad & Tobago Football Association hailed Blatter as the "father of football", with Jamaica, Haiti, Turks & Caicos, Cuba, Panama, St Vincent & the Grenadines and Puerto Rico also pledging their support.
Blatter is campaigning for a fifth term in office, and is up against Luis Figo, Michael van Praag and Jordanian Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein.
The election takes place in Zurich on May 30.
