Toulouse hold off Nantes

Toulouse defeat Nantes 2-1 at Stade de la Beaujoire thanks to goals from Etienne Didot and Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro.

Second-half goals from Etienne Didot and Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro have helped Toulouse down high-flying Nantes at Stade de la Beaujoire.

Alain Casanova's men, who started the day seven points clear of the relegation zone, went ahead in the 55th minute when Didot fired past Remy Riou from inside the area.

Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro made it 2-0 in the 71st minute, but hope was restored for the home side when Papy Mison Djilobodji found the net with nine minutes remaining.

However, Michel Der Zakarian's men could not find an equaliser that would have seen them edge three points clear of fifth-placed Marseille.
